THE TRACKLESS PATH

Not For Fleshy Hands

You will not escape
The need for miracles.
For it is not what you do
But who you are
That is the problem.
Therein lies
Heaven and hell.
And we do not escape our prison
Accept through the forsaking.
And the rest is not a work
For fleshy hands
And hearts
And minds.

I was told in my heart that I have to rely on miracles to make it where God wants me to go. I like that your poem frames it as an identity need

Greg - Interesting that you were told that. That is why it is a trackless path- it is like the path of birds - they leave no track. It is not an earthbound path. How else will we reach high places accept by taking leaps of faith as birds do every time they jump from their high places and trust the unseen wind to carry them? By the way, I just discovered that I had my comment settings set to not notify me when people make comments. Just changed it so hopefully I will see your comments in the future. :-) God bless!
